Some Recent Work...

Here are two recent illustrations which I am proud of and would like to share in my artblog. I did them a couple of weeks ago for Tutu Incorporated, so just in case you've missed the posts, do drop by and read on, and let us know what you think!

Back to my illustrations, the first one featuring Tutu at the Art Cafe was my first attempt to actually draw a pair of jeans! I mean, you can't paint the pants blue and call them jeans! So it was quite a challenge putting on the jeans 'effect', both the colours and texture. And I'm really happy with how it turned out to be, considering it was my first attempt.

Next, this was the first appearance of Tutu's best friend, Kaelyn. Long black hair, exotic look, deep tan...That was how Cousin Shu and I earlier defined Kaelyn's look, and I'm glad I managed to give Kaelyn her look!

Will post again soon!

These are both great!! Your digital skills are very admirable, and the details in both illustrations are amazing!

amy zaleski: Yeah, I just love details :)

infantina: Thanks!

michael dailey: I begin all my illustrations from Illustrator, shading them to 'perfection' in Photoshop. I don't own a wacom tablet yet and it's definitely something I wish to have soon!

Great work - all the textures and details...I find I can't stop looking at it! What program are you using that has a "denim" effect? Never heard of this! Beautiful images. Thanks for introducing me to Tutu Inc.!
Cheers.

stacia: Thanks for visiting Tutu Inc.! The "denim" effect was created via brush, burn and dodge tools in Photoshop. So far I haven't heard of any programs that have "denim" effect :)
